The Resurrection

Matthew 28:1–10

Sunday before dawn, the tomb is empty. The angel tells the women, “He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.” Death starts working backwards.

The Ascension

Acts 1:6–11

Forty days after rising, Jesus blesses his friends and ascends to the right hand of the Father, promising the Holy Spirit. Where he has gone, we hope to follow.

3

The Descent of the Holy Spirit

Acts 2:1–13

Wind fills the house and fire rests on each of them. The frightened disciples pour into the street preaching in every tongue, and three thousand are baptized by nightfall.

The fruit of this mystery: Love of God

4

The Assumption of Mary

Revelation 12:1

At the end of her earthly life, Mary is taken body and soul into heaven. The first of us to arrive home the way all of us hope to.

5

The Coronation of Mary

Revelation 12:1

The mother of the King is crowned Queen of heaven and earth. She spends her reign the way she spent Cana: telling her Son about our empty jars.
