A prayer for someone having surgery
If someone you love is facing surgery, you don't need the right words. You need somewhere to put the fear. This prayer is somewhere to put it.
Lord Jesus, healer of the sick, be with them in surgery.
Guide the hands of the surgeons and nurses; give them skill, attention, and care.
Calm the fear of everyone who waits.
We place them in your hands, and we trust you with what we cannot control.
Amen.
